Hello, not sure it is a 'bug' stricto sensu, and/or has not been already reported by others, but.. i just noticed (well, actualy since day1.. first thing i tried like with any other games */), when i tried to create a nice convenient game-easier profile for my G700 mouse (11 programmable buttons) and BGEE interface... that the hotkeys were behaving strangely !
I tested a little around with all possible (seemingly) keyboard keys, 1 by 1, and came to the conclusion, well, that some hotkeys were perfectly working (as referenced in the manual)..some others were alas apparently not implemented (most annoying for me beeing the MAP hotkey 'm'.. first thing i do in a game/rpg is always to have the map on the same quickly accessible mouse prog. button..!)..some others were totally messed up (working, but not the keys specified in the manual - mixed order).
To be clearer, i just copy/cut the manual pdf list, and do a quick report of my 'findings' :
===================================================== Hot Keys (pdf manual1, 'BGEEManualSwordCoastSurvivalGuide.pdf', p79)
Page Hot Keys
Screen Default Hot Key Inventory I -- OK! Character Record R -- OK! Return to Game G -- OK! Journal J -- OK! Map M -- ??? Wizard Spells W -- OK! Priest Spells P -- OK! Options O -- OK! Character Arbitration C -- ???
Action Hot Keys
Action Default Hot Key Quick Load (loads most recent Quick Save) H -- NO! (L!) Hide/Show Interface U -- NO! (H!) Hide/Show Right Interface T -- NO! (U!) Chat Window X -- ??? Location Q -- NO! (X! = coord. x/y + area code) Quick Save A -- NO! (Q!) Toggle AI Y -- NO! (A!) Hide/Show Left Interface Z -- NO! (Y!) Rest Unassigned Wizard Tooltips/Help Tool Tab -- OK! =====================================================
OK! = hotkey working as intended (perfect) NO! (***!) = hotkey working, but with another letter instead (xyz) ??? = hotkey not possible / alternate not found ( ex: m = map ..). (*)
(*) and no, not just a qwerty/azerty thing.. '?' doesn't work either for 'm'..
Well, if someone knows especialy the 'map key', maybe that is a combo (ctrl+, or alt+ ?) ; i tested a priori a lot combos, nothing found.
If can be confirmed/corrected later then.. not a game breaker per se, just a little confusing (and/or having the map on the mouse would be nice too for me).. :)
PS: Ah, yes! And also... If there could be implemented a push1 (hotkey action) , push2 (return to normal screen), for every keys, would be great too ! So far, a key like 'h' works like that perfectly well (you push it, the main interface disappear ok, your repush it, it returns to normal, perfect - 1 key) : but many others required a systematic 'g' push2 (return to game) to be able to go on (basically, that is using an unessacery mouse button only for 'g' - should be not necessary). k, if that other very simple little thing could be implemented too, would be very nice too (1 mouse button freed for smthg else).... :)
