I have created a Dropbox account for the purpose of compiling all the converted/resized/finished custom portraits in one place, easy to download and add and modify.
Dropbox is a cloud storage utility that allows multiple users to all link and modify a central collection of files. Its all drag and drop and easy to use. Just keep in mind that what you do effects all other users, so deleting files will delete files for all. Make sure you use a copy/paste command and not a MOVE command which will delete files.
There are 2 ways to access the dropbox. You can use the web based utitlity allowing you to access the dropbox without downloading any software and operating like a normal site. The download allows for more features and easier use but is not required. Either method uses the below info for log-in.
------------------------------------------------------------------ If you are looking to browse and download from the collection, simply click this link: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/gsn24bgwwu0gyqw/bV-5phrjwu That's it, give a moment to sync up the files and enjoy.
I am available for PM or message in this thread at any time. ------------------------------------------------------------------
(Many folders currently with 1300+ sets of BGEE portraits not including newly added custom soundest section ;) and always growing)
Why didn't you just zip these up? I like that you have a compilation here, but I have no idea why you went through the extremely odd process of setting up an account and sharing an E-mail and Password. Seems like zipping them up and sharing the link would be better (AND Safer).
I'm planning to digitally paint my own set of custom portraits based on photographs of some of my friends. It will take a while and I'm still in the photo-snapping phase, but if I ever finish any of them I'll be sure to add them there.

The advantage is that everyone can add their own portraits and share with all the others easily as drag and drop...
Thats right. Its simply drag and drop and if a few artists feel like using it, the collection will grow, you can look at them all in windows with photos and not have to download a zip of hundreds of other photos you didnt want for the one.
and its very easy to use actually, not complicated, try it. As for safer, from what exactly.. I have all the backups if things get deleted.. oh and the email is fake. I prob could have put in BG@EE.com pass Portraits if i wanted. Its all simple to set up a free account.
as of right now im just collecting finished sets, that page does have alot of good work but also alot of unformatted images and incomplete sets. I might go through it soon, but the beauty of Dropbox is you can just as easily log in a drop in what you like from the page yourself too. So feel free to start creating some file dumps ;)
Just added a set I updated from my old BGII folder, In the folder Portraits (various sources)
Haven't tested them yet but should work
Most of the images were collected from various forums over the years, i have no idea where i got most of them unfortunately. Generally i tried to stick to ones with that baldur's gate look, enjoy.
Hey guys, I just added my own folder (Heisendog) to the drop box. If you like my portraits, you're welcome to contact me if you have any requests for portraits based on celebrities!
Thanks to all who are contributing. As far as i'm aware, this collections is the largest single Enhanced Edition collection out there. Those Game of thrones ones are not formatted correctly yet, still pretty neat though. I have been wantig to do GoT ones for a while. Not a fan of the colors so much. I like bg2 color and contrast schemes personally.
@TiaxRulesAll I may take the GoT ones and correct the sizes. I hope it is looking good at the moment. Do you think it needs sorting at all, perhaps have the sources at the forefront so if someone is looking for IWD they don't need to look under my folder first to find them?
I added BG characters to my skyrim game as companions a while back, and going to make some portraits out of the screenshots.... anyone here interested in those, should I bother uploading them?
Here is my website right now.... first time doing this guys so bear with me and let me know what you think.

cool, about the GoT sizes. I mean I could do it too. I Just get busy sometimes with other projects too sometimes.
about the sort: Well, I don't know. My first thought is no. I think the sep folders makes it easier to track missing stuff (when things accidentlyget deleted or moved instead of copied)... but... Right now we are only using 8.3% of our total space of the box, so if someone felt like they wanted to sort them in a different fashion and repost them that is fine by me. More specifically, DUPLICATE them create a folder called "sorted by style" and have them all sorted differently. we still would be far from filling our space. Sounds like a lot of work to go through them all now though. And while alot is just re-posted stuff, there is original art here and I want to make sure people get credit where its due.

Sure, different styles are always welcome. My thoughts are, If you like the style, there will be at least one guy out there thats looking for the same thing. Post em. or I can post them for ya. Either way.
